True Ambassadors Partners with The Felix Project to Spread Smiles in Plaistow

On August 30th, 2024, our independent charitable organisation, True Ambassadors teamed up with The Felix Project to bring fresh, healthy food to the Plaistow community. The event, called “Good Food for Good Causes” provided nutritious meals and brought joy and smiles to our neighbours’ faces.

The Felix Project is a London-based charity that rescues surplus food from supermarkets, wholesalers, and restaurants. They redistribute this food to those in need through a network of charities, schools, and community groups. By preventing food waste, The Felix Project fights food insecurity and environmental issues. We were excited to receive their donation, which helped us offer fresh produce, dairy, and other healthy foods to families and individuals in Plaistow.

The food distribution took place at the Plaistow Community Centre and was a great success. Our volunteers worked hard, ensuring that everyone who came left with a generous share of food. Seeing the gratitude and happiness on people’s faces was truly rewarding. It reminded us of the importance of these initiatives in building a strong, healthy community.

True Ambassadors is dedicated to supporting our community. Partnering with The Felix Food Project shows how working together can make a real difference. By providing access to healthy food, we meet immediate needs and help improve the overall health and well-being of our neighbours.

We couldn’t have achieved this without the generous support from our partners, donors, and volunteers.
