True Ambassadors Attend Prestigious “Women of the Year” Event

On 7th October 2024, I had the honour of attending the prestigious “Women of the Year” Lunch and Awards event, celebrating its 70th anniversary. It was a humbling experience to be among some of the most extraordinary women who are making a significant impact worldwide. These women have led by example, demonstrating courage, compassion, and resilience, and have paved the way for others to follow.

One of the distinguished guests was Baroness Floella Benjamin. She is a Peer, Actress, Writer, and a former Chair of Women of the Year. Her contributions to society have been truly remarkable. HRH Princess Zama Zulu Shange, a Zulu Princess and well-known humanitarian, also attended the event. BBC Presenter Mishal Husain and her mother, Shama Husain, from the World War Muslim Memorial Trust, were also present. It was a privilege to be among these incredible women, each of whom represents leadership, philanthropy, and a dedication to making positive changes in the world.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Vanessa Williams, Partner at Excello Law and host of the WOY event. She made the day really memorable. I am also deeply grateful to Gill Carrick for providing me with the opportunity to be part of such a remarkable occasion.

This event marks a milestone for our independent charitable organisation, True Ambassadors. It highlighting the importance of our work within the community. For me was an honour to represent the organisation. This recognition reflects the tireless dedication of our entire team. Our commitment to empowering individuals and fostering community well-being remains unwavering.

The day served as a powerful reminder of the incredible impact women can achieve when they unite. It has inspired me to continue building on this momentum, working towards the betterment of our community. Here’s to many more years of empowering change and making a difference, one initiative at a time.
