True Ambassadors enjoyed attending the “Healing Voices” event, organised by the You Press Team, on the evening of October 30th at Firepit Art Gallery and Studios. This impactful event created a platform for open dialogue, inviting attendees to share personal experiences within the mental health sector and explore ways to bridge gaps between mental health service users and healthcare providers. The goal was to reduce health inequalities and improve outcomes for underrepresented groups, fostering a more inclusive and accessible approach to mental health care.
Coinciding with Black History Month, the evening also celebrated cultural heritage through vibrant performances by talented young adults. The atmosphere came alive with live music and poetry, as performers captivated the audience with creative expressions of resilience and unity. These performances underscored the importance of cultural identity and collective healing, making the evening not only informative but also deeply inspiring.
True Ambassadors extends heartfelt thanks to the You Press Team for this opportunity to participate in such a meaningful and uplifting event. This powerful evening highlighted the importance of connecting mental health resources to the community in ways that are accessible, inclusive, and engaging. As a charity ambassador, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that break down barriers and bring mental health conversations to the forefront.
